X-ray (mammography)

  • With screening for breast cancer
  • With palpable lump in the breast, in combination with ultrasound and clinical examination
  • Secretion from the nipple, in combination with ultrasound and clinical examination
  • Pain in the breast, in combination with ultrasound and clinical examination
  • Skin changes on the breast, in combination with ultrasound and clinical examination

 


Ultrasound

  • See above uses in combination with mammography and clinical examination
  • Further assessment of tumour revealed by mammography
  • For punction of cysts

 


CT

  • No indication

 


MRI

Not currently performed at Unilabs' departments

  • Used for some indications, e.g. large heredity for breast cancer and negative mammography
